Bridal Shower Food

Bridal Shower food can range from finger foods to a full lunch or dinner, depending on the type of shower you are planning to throw.

WHEN TO SERVE LUNCH/DINNER

If your bridal shower is taking place during the time of a main meal, your guests will expect lunch/dinner. In addition, if the shower is being held at a restaurant during lunch/dinner, a meal is going to be expected. Usually people serve chicken, with one other meal option for vegetarians.

FINGER FOODS

If while planning a bridal shower, you decide you want something more casual, finger foods are the way to go!

Finger foods can be appetizers, such as: cheese and crackers, shrimp, taquitos, wraps, fruit trays, vegetable trays, deviled eggs, wontons, chips and dip, etc.

Finger sandwiches are also very popular and can be a more filling appetizer. You can do anything from cucumber sandwiches to tuna sandwiches to chicken to mini-cheeseburgers.

Other more exotic ideas for bridal shower food are sushi, fondue, bbq, chinese, etc. depending on the feeling you are hoping to have for the shower. More bridal shower ideas on theme party foods are below.

THEME PARTY FOODS

* Tea Party Shower: Tea should definitely be served, along with finger sandwiches, scones and jam, strawberries and cream, and tea cookies.

* Wine and Cheese Shower: A variety of wine, crackers, and cheeses should be served at this sort of party.

* Lingerie Shower: Sexy foods are a must - think wine, chocolate, mixed drinks like Sex on the Beach, etc.

* Beach Shower: Since it's casual, you could simply have a BBQ and, well, serve BBQ! If you wanted to go more fancy, you could have a Luau - serve roasted pig, pineapple dishes, etc.

DESERT

Cake is a popular choice, but you can also serve other sweets, such as cookies, mini lemon meringue pies, mini cheesecakes, tarts, cupcakes, chocolate fountains, etc.
