Father of the Bride - A Wedding Movie For You!

Father of the Bride is a funny look at marriage, from the perspective of the bride's dad! This is one of the great wedding movies, so great...that it's a remake!

SUMMARY

This 1991 romantic comedy stars Steve Martin as George Banks. Upon returning from abroad, his daughter Annie, played by Kimberly Williams-Paisley, tells him that she is engaged to be married. George is beside himself, his 21 year old daughter is still a little girl! He becomes comedically frantic, as the wedding preparations begin!

QUOTES FROM THE MOVIE (to give you an idea of what it's all about):

George: This was the moment I'd been dreading for the past six months. Well, actually for the past 22 years.
Nina Banks: [Waiting for Brian to arrive] So, can you see him? What does he look like?
George: He just drove up.
Nina Banks: And?
George: He drove too fast.

A REVIEW FROM SOMEONE WHO LOVES ROMCOMS:

This movie is hilarious! Steve Martin is great as the frantic dad trying to deal with the fact that his daughter is all grown up and getting married! It's a very heartwarming movie too because very simply, George loves his daughter, otherwise, he wouldn't be so frantic. I highly recommend it! You laugh, you cry and you have a good time watching it!

EXTRAS!!!!

* The 1991 movie is actually a remake of a 1950 movie of the same title, starring Spencer Tracy, Joan Bennett, and Elizabeth Taylor.

* Also, the 1991 movie has a sequel! Think all the greatness of the first movie plus a baby!
