Picnic Wedding
A Picnic Wedding can be elegant or casual, depending on your style. LOCATION: A park, forest preserve, garden, or large backyard is the perfect setting. DECOR: Think picnic baskets, gingham table cloths, and wildflowers. No need for place settings and seating arrangements if it's a casual affair. In fact, instead of table seating, how about picnic blankets for guests to spread out! A hammock and picnic games might be fun too. FOOD: From BBQ to hamburgers to hot dogs - all picnic food is game! Think fresh salad, potato salad, macaroni salad, bean salad, or fruit salad. As a note, these meals also tend to be cheaper per person, so it's great for a wedding on a budget. CAKE AND DESERTS: Think pie, like apple or cherry. And, think watermelon slices. DRINKS: There should be lemonade and iced tea, in addition to the usual drinks. FAVORS: Flowers, plants, or flower seeds are good favors.
